About Wagtime: 30 Years of Happy Dogs in Westborough, MA

Wagtime has been caring for dogs in Westborough, Massachusetts since 1994 — making us one of the oldest and most experienced dog daycare and boarding facilities in the state. Originally opened as Linda’s Doggie Playland, Wagtime has been a trusted home away from home for generations of dogs and the families who love them.

Family owned and operated, Wagtime is built around a single belief: that every dog deserves to be treated as a member of the family. That philosophy has guided everything we do for over three decades, and it’s why so many of our clients have been with us for years — some since the very beginning.

Our facility in Westborough features over 40,000 square feet of outdoor play space — the largest outdoor play yard in Central Massachusetts. The yards are divided into separate sections so that dogs of similar size and personality play together comfortably and safely. Every play yard has at least one experienced pack handler present at all times.

A staff member resides on the premises overnight, every night of the year. When your dog boards with us, they are never alone.

We are conveniently located at Two Hopkinton Road in Westborough, just minutes from Routes 9, 30, 135, and I-495, making us easy to reach from Southborough, Hopkinton, Northborough, Framingham, Shrewsbury, and communities across MetroWest and Central Massachusetts.

Who We Are

Our team is passionate, well-trained, and genuinely dog-obsessed. Every staff member is selected for their love of animals and their ability to read and respond to dog behavior with care and confidence.

We accommodate the individual needs of every dog in our care — from administering medications and managing special diets, to providing extra comfort for anxious or first-time visitors. We maintain a strict vaccination policy for the health and safety of every dog in our pack.

At the end of every day, we send your dog home happy, exercised, and loved. As we’ve always said at Wagtime: a good dog is a tired dog.

All new dogs must attend an Evaluation Day before joining our daycare or boarding program. This allows us to introduce your dog to our pack, our staff, and our daily routine in a careful, supervised way — ensuring the right placement and a safe, positive experience from day one.

We have customers that have been with us for years and travel from miles away
to give their dogs the opportunity to play and have fun all day.

Our customers say it best. Many have been with us for a decade or more — and some drive from as far as Wellesley and Natick because they won’t leave their dog anywhere else.

Our pup, Max, is a very social, high energy Golden Retriever. He loves life, but his happiness reaches a whole new level when he goes to Wagtime.  As soon as I cross a certain street driving toward Wagtime, Max realizes where he’s going, and he starts grinning and getting super excited.  When we pick him up, he is tired, content and ready to just hang out with the family.

The staff is always very friendly and quick to share helpful information. They have great systems in place to ensure that the pups get their treats, food, and any meds they may need.

Whether we take him to daycare or leave him for boarding when we travel, sometimes for extended periods, we feel very confident and comfortable leaving him at Wagtime.  He is always in great spirits when we pick him up, and it’s apparent that the team has taken great care of him.  My friends who have furless children are envious of the daycare that Max gets to enjoy. That says it all!

Our furry family members have been going to Wagtime (formerly Linda’s Doggie Playland) since 1992. We drive over half an hour from Wellesley, because we know our dogs will have a great time and be well cared for- it’s worth the trip!!! We are even more happy with the new owners –Mary and Mark have continued all the great qualities from before: an attentive caring staff, large play yards and a genuine love for the dogs! We highly recommend Wagtime!
